Instructions for Grant Applicants

The online application system specifies the information required for decision-making. Please pay particular attention to the summary, project plan, budget, and the yearly theme. Additionally, indicate clearly how we may publish or publicly communicate the outcomes of your project. Applications must include attachments such as a research plan, a funding plan, a curriculum vitae, and a publication list. Allow sufficient time before your intended start date, as processing times for applications may vary slightly depending on the time of year.

Applications should be submitted to the foundation via our online application system. Any questions concerning the form or the application process can be sent via sähköpostitse

Grants and Taxation

Grant recipients do not provide the foundation with their tax card, nor does the foundation withhold taxes from the grants awarded.

Every January, we report to the tax authorities the grants paid out during the previous year. Grant recipients are responsible for declaring the received grant in their personal tax returns, and taxes are payable on amounts exceeding the tax-free threshold.

Information regarding tax-free grant limits and deductibility of various expenses can be obtained directly from the tax authorities.
