Donations

Donations from private individuals, associations, organizations, and businesses form a crucial source of the foundation’s funding. We accept bequests, commemorative donations, and other contributions to support multidisciplinary Finnish information technology research.

Donations made to the Information Technology Research Foundation ranging from 850 to 50,000 euros are tax-deductible for corporate entities. Larger donations can be used to establish a named fund or another special-purpose fund at the donor’s request. A named fund is a cost-effective alternative compared to establishing a separate foundation, providing targeted financial support for a specified purpose.

Bequests

Individuals can include the Information Technology Research Foundation in their will. While individuals may draft their own will, certain formal requirements must be met for validity. We recommend consulting an expert before signing. The foundation’s legal advisor can provide assistance in drafting the will free of charge if required.

Commemorative Donations

A thoughtful way to support research is to request that birthday gifts or other commemorative gifts be donated directly to the Information Technology Research Foundation. After the event, an acknowledgement card with the names of the donors is provided to the individual celebrating their special day.
